What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites remember information about your visit, such as preferences and analytics data.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential cookies — required for site functionality.
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics tracks anonymous usage.
Advertising cookies — Google AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads.
Affiliate cookies — Amazon Associates tracks referral purchases.

Storage Kept on Your Device

Some features use your browser's local storage instead of cookies. It stays on your device and is never sent to our servers:

My Estimates — fence estimates you choose to save, so you can reopen and compare them later without an account.
Theme — whether you picked light or dark mode.
App prompts — when you last dismissed the app banner or invite, so we don't show it again too soon.

Clearing your browser's site data removes all of these, including saved estimates.

Managing Cookies

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality and the relevance of ads you see. To opt out of personalized advertising from Google, visit Google Ad Settings. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The calculators keep working with cookies turned off.
